Tottenham are top option for Son Heung-min to Saudi Arabia
"A lot of Korean players have gone to Saudi Arabia".
Former Everton chairman Keith Wynes spoke about Son's re-signing on Football Insider's podcast on March 30 (below), predicting that Tottenham would offer him a two-year deal.
"He had a disappointing season in terms of value, but he's still worth £100 million ($174.7 million)," Weynes said, adding that the South Korean will be at the center of Tottenham manager Anzhi Postecoglou's plans for a free-scoring attack. Tottenham will offer Son a two-year contract."
If Son Heung-min was 30 years old instead of 32, he would have been expected to sign a long-term contract.

But Weyneth has a new argument.
━
"A move to Saudi Arabia would be the first option for Son Heung-min," Weinstein claimed in his podcast.
"Recently, South Korea and Saudi Arabia have made several transfers," Weinstein said, adding that "there are a lot of big things happening behind the scenes in the world of soccer, and you should pay attention to them."
"It is likely that Tottenham will offer Son a two-year contract. However, Saudi Arabia is definitely an option."
Son has one year left on his contract with Tottenham, but he can trigger an option clause for a one-year extension.
However, Weynes said the biggest option for Son, who is under contract with Spurs until the summer of 2025, would be a move to Saudi Arabia.
"Tottenham will know that Saudi Arabia will offer the biggest money," Weynes said. In soccer, big things happen behind the scenes," Weinstein said, referring to the 야설 new trade ties between South Korea and Saudi Arabia. Weinstein used the non-soccer aspect of the game to support his argument.

In the end, Weyneth said that the best option for Son Heung-min was to go to Saudi Arabia.

"If I wanted to go to Saudi Arabia, I wouldn't be here now (laughs)," Son Heung-min said in a Mixzone interview after an A-League match against El Salvador in June last year. "I love soccer, and money is important, but I dream of playing in the Premier League," he said. "In the past, my brother (Ki Sung-yong) also said that Korean captains don't go to China. Money is not important to me now," he said.
Son joined Tottenham in 2015 and has been with the club for nine years now. With Harry Kane, the top scorer in Spurs' history, leaving for Munich just before the season, Son's presence has become even more prominent. He has played both up front and on the wing this season, scoring 17 goals and providing one assist in 36 appearances across all competitions.
